How to:

  1. Make sure your Bluejeans Client is running the latest version: 
  1. on Mac: Once the Bluejeans Client is launched - On the toolbar, click on ‘Bluejeans’. From the dropdown menu click 'Check for Updates’ (it will be grayed out if no updates are available). 
  2. on Windows: Once the Bluejeans Client is launched - Click on the ‘Three bars’ at the top left corner. From the dropdown menu click 'Check for Updates’ (it will be grayed out if no updates are available).

 

  1. Use security options when scheduling a meeting:
  1. Meeting ID: A randomized nine-digit ID can be assigned to each meeting to keep the credentials  private.  When you schedule a new meeting, click on ‘Advanced Options’, and uncheck ‘Use My Meeting ID’. 
  2. Participant Passcode: A second level of authentication that can be enabled for each meeting.   Enabling this feature will require participants to know the Meeting ID and Passcode in order to join the meeting. You can add the meeting passcode in your ‘Advanced Options’ by clicking on the box next to “Add Participant Passcode”.      
  3. Mute Participants on Entry: Enable this feature by going to ‘Settings’ and clicking on the box next to ‘Mute Participants on Entry’. 
  4. Turn off Participant video on Entry: Enable this feature by going to ‘Settings’ and clicking on the box next to ‘Turn off Participant video on Entry’. 

 

  1. Security options during your meeting 
  1. Screen Share: You have the ability to show only individual applications, rather than a participant’s entire screen, to avoid unwanted content or notifications to be seen by others. 
  2. Lock Meeting: During a meeting, the session may be locked down to only include those participants that are in attendance
  3. Participant: During a meeting, any participant can quickly be removed:
  • Click on ‘People’ on the top right corner. Click on the participant, a dropdown menu will appear. Click on ‘Drop from Meeting’ and then click on ‘Drop’.
